Sweet Lorraine



                       BB will be concluding their three nation tour of mainland Europe on Friday the 29th with a show at The Salle Bestien , situated at 2 Rue de La Rebublic in Yutz, France.

                       Yutz is situated close to Thionville in the Moselle department of Lorraine and easily accessed from many parts of France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg.

                      The show will also feature Lord Monty III and begins at 7pm.

                      The event arranged by the local steampunk group, The Collegium Temporis Vapori,  is being presented as a Victorian style gala evening and will include a buffet and if, not too much has been lost in  the translation from French, the option of the services of a hairdresser.

                     Afterwards Sven will return to Germany whilst Dale, Axel and Monty will be heading for a paddle steamer bound for "Blighty" and a reunion with Molly before a busy weekend ahead.

                    Looking ahead then to the following weekend, which brings together an interesting mix of gigs.

                A hometown gig at The George and Dragon in Belper on the Friday.

                  Saturday at Dogfest a multi-genre event at The Black Market in Market Warsop. It is understood that this is a sell out, however there are some people, who cannot make it to the gig, with tickets to sell on the facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/196633133794364/?fref=ts.

           On Sunday it is off to The Roadhouse in Yardley, Birmingham, for "Frosty Belles and Whistles", an event packed with live bands, cabaret and burlesque. Details at  https://www.facebook.com/events/202863426562643/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming.


         Oh and not forgetting that Dale is back at The Bulls Head, Belper Lane End on Tuesday the 3rd to resume the regular Tuesday night acoustic sessions.

    Hope you managed to catch Dale's slot on vbnavradio last night, a really good relaxed interview, interspersed with a good helping of classic and new BB tunes.   So Thanks to vbnavradio for that. School's Out For Summer!

             Oh Yes, it's time for that institution known simply as "Rock and Blues". It has been around in a few different guises for over a quarter of a century now. Reaching it's zenith in the early part of this new millennium when numbers were around the 30,000 mark.            This years event will see only about 10% of those crowd figures, which going by last year's event makes for a nice compact site and a great friendly atmosphere. Another plus is that the Derbyshire weather looks set to make it even hotter than last year.            BB's slot is on The Platform 15 outdoor stage at 1.40pm on the Saturday afternoon and will involve dancers. Metropolis are also forming part of this Steampunk slot. And Life Goes On (You Know It Aint Easy)

      Well firstly, wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, a year bereft of Olympics or Jubilees, how will we fill our days? I feel sure we will all cope. It already looks a great year for live music events on varying scales of grandeuer, lets hope the weather has made a resolution,to smile a little more.       February brings us the Year Of The Snake, indeed to be precise, The Water Snake, noted as quite motivated and intellectual, very determined and resolute about success. So here's to hoping.       One last mention of snakes, this time in human form, to those who saw fit in the early hours of Saturday the 22nd of December, to break into the BB mobile and remove all from within.
