A distinct hint of spring in the air as we venture into March and whilst there are no  full band gigs in the upcoming weeks, three opportunities exist to catch Dale at some excellent and varied gigs.         I know Dale has been airing some more of the BB songs as solo versions at the weekly open mic nights he hosts weekly on Monday nights at his local, The Bulls Head, Belper Lane End, so you can expect an increased smattering of these alongside the usual covers at the forthcoming gigs.        First up is this Friday, March the 6th at The Fishpond Matlock Bath, when Dale will be opening for old friends Satnam's Tash, who have also gained themselves a high reputation as a unique and talented 3 piece since reforming in 2008, playing a combination of there own material and covers in a genre defying manner.     There is no admission charge and "The Pond" always has some great ales on. so what's not to like. All gets going from 8.30pm           On S

A Rough Guide To Europe (Steampunkam Style)

A splendid time had by all during at last months short tour with The Big Fibbers and Dale with a particularly large and receptive crowd at The Bulls Head.           Nothing planned for February, so with The Big Fibbers safely back in London, plenty of time for livers to recover.           With a quiet month ahead, a little time to reflect upon Dale's solo tour of Europe last November.          What would have been an uneventful drive to Amsterdam, was somewhat marred by a ferry booking error, in so much as they were expected at Dunkirk to travel to Dover!          Ho hey! Nothing that a little time and a £55 administration charge will not fix!          After a short stop over in Amsterdam meeting Karin's relations for a family wedding it is onwards to Bad Segeberg to pick up Lord Montague Jaques Fromage III and take a little time out to catch up with Sven.        The first gig proper ( there was an impromptu solo slot for family and friends back in

Another New Year upon us and here's hoping that all your resolutions endure and your ambitions come to fruition! An excellent finish to 2015 was enjoyed by many at the increasingly legendary Christmas bash at The Fishpond in Matlock Bath.        Whilst it may sadly transpire to have been Axel's farewell to BB, he will certainly have gone out                                                                              on a high.         BB played three well received sets, holding back most of the crowd favourites until the last one.                   In addition, the superb sum of over £140 was raised for the MacMillan charity.        Despite being the coldest night of the winter so far, a good crowd assembled from near and far and it was definitely, party on.       A nice shot of some of the crowd "getting down" notably Kev Butterfield throwing a nice move in the foreground, who added his harmonica playing talents to Music Teacher on
