Do the Monster Mash!....and And Take A Sharp Intake Of Steam




      It is not often that one is bestoed the privilege of playing at an official political party conference, which is exactly what BB are doing on Friday.

      Not only that, but for probably the only relevant party left in todays political climate, The Monster Raving Loony Party.

      The conference  is taking place at The White Hart Hotel on Carter Street in Uttoxeter, Staffs. and after the serious business!! of the day, admission is free to the evening entertainement and some camping is available.      On Saturday another splendid Steampunk event, as part of the European Steampunk day. Taking place at The Intake Club in Mansfield. Stalls, belly and burlesque dancing and a fine line up, to cover all Steampunk tastes with BB, Gladstone and The Cogneys. All yours for the excellent price of just five British pounds.     Hope you managed to catch Dale's slot on vbnavradio last night, a really good relaxed interview, interspersed with a good helping of classic and new BB tunes.   So Thanks to vbnavradio for that. School's Out For Summer!

             Oh Yes, it's time for that institution known simply as "Rock and Blues". It has been around in a few different guises for over a quarter of a century now. Reaching it's zenith in the early part of this new millennium when numbers were around the 30,000 mark.            This years event will see only about 10% of those crowd figures, which going by last year's event makes for a nice compact site and a great friendly atmosphere. Another plus is that the Derbyshire weather looks set to make it even hotter than last year.            BB's slot is on The Platform 15 outdoor stage at 1.40pm on the Saturday afternoon and will involve dancers. Metropolis are also forming part of this Steampunk slot.
