      Well after much deliberation, the results for the green screen picture competition have been announced and the winning entry with the silver and bronze efforts below it are featured above.

      Two show weekend again, starting Friday night by headlining at the annual Insane Festival event, which lasts through until Sunday at The Black Market, Market Warsop, Notts. Also appearing Friday are US/German funk rock threesome Lord Bishop Rocks, UK metal band Line Of Fire, from Geelong,Victoria Aus rockers Cast Iron Pinata, two all German bands, White Trap and My Restless 45, Birmingham's Sugar Razors, who interstingly are two lead and drums and no bass, plus Reece Bibby.      Saturday it is across to the Cheshire plain, to play the evenning entertainement for The Crewe Heritage Steampunk Party,to be held at The Grand Junction on Heath Street, in very central Crewe.
The train station is less than a mile and the bus station even closer, parking available at the adjacent retail park.

     The steampunk meet is from noon onwards and tickets for the evenning are £8 including buffet, reduced to £5 for anyone attired suitably. Activities in the venue during the day and hertage/ghost/gore walks of the town are available.     Hope you managed to catch Dale's slot on vbnavradio last night, a really good relaxed interview, interspersed with a good helping of classic and new BB tunes.   So Thanks to vbnavradio for that. School's Out For Summer!

             Oh Yes, it's time for that institution known simply as "Rock and Blues". It has been around in a few different guises for over a quarter of a century now. Reaching it's zenith in the early part of this new millennium when numbers were around the 30,000 mark.            This years event will see only about 10% of those crowd figures, which going by last year's event makes for a nice compact site and a great friendly atmosphere. Another plus is that the Derbyshire weather looks set to make it even hotter than last year.            BB's slot is on The Platform 15 outdoor stage at 1.40pm on the Saturday afternoon and will involve dancers. Metropolis are also forming part of this Steampunk slot. And Life Goes On (You Know It Aint Easy)

      Well firstly, wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, a year bereft of Olympics or Jubilees, how will we fill our days? I feel sure we will all cope. It already looks a great year for live music events on varying scales of grandeuer, lets hope the weather has made a resolution,to smile a little more.       February brings us the Year Of The Snake, indeed to be precise, The Water Snake, noted as quite motivated and intellectual, very determined and resolute about success.
