Happy New Year and Welcome to 2016 ( Well it is time for the Big Fibbers)

Another New Year upon us and here's hoping that all your resolutions endure and your ambitions come to fruition!

An excellent finish to 2015 was enjoyed by many at the increasingly legendary Christmas bash at The Fishpond in Matlock Bath.

Whilst it may sadly transpire to have been Axel's farewell to BB, he will certainly have gone out                                                                              on a high.

BB played three well received sets, holding back most of the crowd favourites until the last one.

In addition, the superb sum of over £140 was raised for the MacMillan charity.

Despite being the coldest night of the winter so far, a good crowd assembled from near and far and it was definitely, party on.

A nice shot of some of the crowd "getting down" notably Kev Butterfield throwing a nice move in the foreground, who added his harmonica playing talents to Music Teacher on the night.

First business of 2015 is adding support to The Big Fibbers on a short tour of some of Derbyshire's finest watering holes.

Nigel and Michael who constitute The Big Fibbers are making their first return to the area since playing at The Monster Raving Loony Party Conference at The Matlock Bath Pavilion in 2013 and if you didn't catch their shows there, do try this time round.

It would be all bar impossible to explain what to expect from them, suffice to say talented and humorous.

Shows run from Wednesday the 21st through until Sunday. Venues, all fantastic real ale purveyors, are in sequence, The Hollybush Makeney, The Poet and Castle in Codnor, The Barley Mow at Bonsall, The Bulls Head Belper Lane End and The Fishpond Matlock Bath.

Support will be BB Acoustic at The Hollybush and Fishpond and Dale solo, whilst Molly is away for her graduation and many congratulations go out to her, for that achievement.

So five days of great beer, excellent company and fabulous entertainment, check the Facebook page for details  https://www.facebook.com/events/1512728995676673/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular
