The All Dayer After The Night Before



     Great time last weekend at the The Monster Raving Looney Party Conference and The Intake in Mansfield, with a bigger event already earmarked for the latter, in the new year...... watch this space !

     A late booking for Saturday finds the BB mobile putting in the miles again, with a welcome return to the South West. A new venue for the band in the Devonian north coast resort of Ifracombe at The Chill Bar located on Fore Street in the town centre.

     The long drive back, will provide little time for sleep before a relatively early start on Sunday.

     The occasion on Sunday provides a great opportunity to join with Steampunks at The Sitwell Tavern, Sitwell Street, off Babington Lane in Derby city centre, running from two in the afternoon and planned to finish somewhere around eight or nine, alowing plenty of time to catch buses and trains far and wide afterwards.

     Along with BB's headline set, performances come from that fine Northants Steampunk five piece Gladstone and magestic Matlock metal band 3 Second Fuse, betwixt and between Demolitia has assembled a delectable array of dancing talent and with free admission meaning extra beer tokens, what more could one ask of a Sunday?

    With the theme of Steampunk Slayers versus Goth Monsters, splendid outfits or indeed any fancy dress are encouraged, though by no means obligatory.     Hope you managed to catch Dale's slot on vbnavradio last night, a really good relaxed interview, interspersed with a good helping of classic and new BB tunes.   So Thanks to vbnavradio for that. School's Out For Summer!

             Oh Yes, it's time for that institution known simply as "Rock and Blues". It has been around in a few different guises for over a quarter of a century now. Reaching it's zenith in the early part of this new millennium when numbers were around the 30,000 mark.            This years event will see only about 10% of those crowd figures, which going by last year's event makes for a nice compact site and a great friendly atmosphere. Another plus is that the Derbyshire weather looks set to make it even hotter than last year.            BB's slot is on The Platform 15 outdoor stage at 1.40pm on the Saturday afternoon and will involve dancers. Metropolis are also forming part of this Steampunk slot. And Life Goes On (You Know It Aint Easy)

      Well firstly, wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, a year bereft of Olympics or Jubilees, how will we fill our days? I feel sure we will all cope. It already looks a great year for live music events on varying scales of grandeuer, lets hope the weather has made a resolution,to smile a little more.       February brings us the Year Of The Snake, indeed to be precise, The Water Snake, noted as quite motivated and intellectual, very determined and resolute about success. So here's to hoping.       One last mention of snakes, this time in human form, to those who saw fit in the early hours of Saturday the 22nd of December, to break into the BB mobile and remove all from within.
