Here's To Another Year Of The Dog

It feels like high time we said hello to the new year, so felicitations to you all and hoping that 2014 brings to you all, that which you desire.

Here in BB land it has been, at least in outwards appearance, a quiet start to the year. Like the ducks though, whilst serene on top, there is much going on beneath.

The artwork for the physical release of the No. 2 album is being for-mated and expectations are high for a February release date, so hopefully details of a launch party soon.

Karin is working on several new vids. in support of this along with a brace featuring tracks from the first album, which are again looking to see the light of day soon.

Also behind the scenes Dale is working on the festival schedule for the year.

The weekly acoustic open mic. sessions are already back, Tuesday nights at The Bulls Head, Belper Lane End, so if you fancy joining in or just checking out what's on, you know where we are. I understand that Molly was exercising her not inconsiderable vocal talents last week. Oh and the local Shottle Farm beers are  good too.

As the calendars are flipped over to the first of February, BB will be playing their first gig of the year at The Pump and Truncheon on Bonny Street in Blackpool, just off The Golden Mile behind Tussauds.

Another pub with a great real ale reputation. Sounds like a good excuse for a bracing away day/weekend and accommodation should be readily available and well priced at this time of year.

Heads up for a new venture that BB will be playing in April, The Otherworlds Convention in Warrington, covering Steampunk, Goth, Horror and Sci Fi. Whilst arrangements are not finalised, current details at http://www.otherworldsconv.co.uk/.

Not to forget, that 2014 also brings the much anticipated  Alt Fest in August, which is to include the "The Steampunk Experience", by far the biggest  gathering of Steampunk music to date. The dedicated arena is one of seven which will comprise the overall festival to be held in Northants.

With Marilyn Manson and The Cult recently announced as main stage headliners, tickets are selling fast. Some later stage "early bird" tickets still available at http://www.alt-fest.com/index.html

A few more gigs are being lined up for February and we will bring forth details as they become available.
