BB BLACKDOG MEETS BB BLACK METAL

An excellent night ensued at The Snooty Fox, Wakefield on Friday. This despite the proceedings giving some credence to the law of "what can go wrong, will go wrong". To cut a long story short, it involved, a double booking with metal band Bloodloss, who were destined to play first, travel difficulties and drumkits.

So what transpired was, that the bill played in reverse order, unfortunately causing some later arriving steampunks to miss BB Blackdog and delaying Bloodloss's lengthy trip home to Surrey.

That apart, a healthy steampunk gathering really enjoyed splendid performances from BB Blackdog with dancer Demolitia Tribal and also from Gladstone, the latter in only their fifth live show and totally undaunted by their vocalists throat infection.

With BB Blackdog and Demolitia in top form, really looking forward to the video release based on the show.

Ever polite the steampunks returned ready applause to the efforts of Bloodloss, who appeared to be excellent deliverers of their genre, however with much sympathy to them, it was, if not neccesarily wrong place, it was wrong time.

Another excellent three set show was well received on Sunday evening at The Brewery Tap, Derby by a sizeable audience. Notably absent though was, Demolitia, who like some others who had shared air space with Gladstone's singer on the Friday, had thus contracting the fiendish "Gladstonitis".

A quiet week for the band this week, with just one outing at The South Sea, Spooner Road in Sheffield's Broomhill district. Support is in the form of Red Jester, purveyors of rock, metal, punk.

For anyone interested in the bands progress in the "Live and Unsigned" competition, they will next perform, this time with an audience! on April 14th at 8.30 in the Riverside Centre, Pride Park Derby. And although the organiser's are asking for eight of your British pounds for a ticket, it would be really nice to create something of a home crowd for the guys. Tickets are available from BB Blackdog.
